Crowd-sourced project funding – The jury is still out as to whether or not this is “good for the artist”. But this jury says “Go for it”. codeDenver was asked to strategize on a Kickstarter fundraising campaign for a musician’s new album. By mining data available from previous music campaigns, trending historical fan support across the social graph and applying our own proprietary optimization techniques, we were able to help set funding targets and align backers with incentives offered. After 60 days, codeDenver was able to share in the celebration of a successful $20,000 fundraising campaign. In fact, the campaign raised 25% more than the goal! And that should always be the plan with Kickstarter – exceed the goal!
